Admissions Consulting

Whether families are new to or already familiar with British boarding schools, our UK consulting service guides them through every aspect of the school selection process.

The service takes families methodically through all the following parts:

Initial Consultation

The consultant in charge will learn as much as possible about both the family’s priorities and the child’s background.

A Full Written Report

Within one week of meeting the family, we will write up a post-consultation report that includes a full assessment of the child’s personality and ability and a shortlist of schools that we believe would be the best fit for the child.

School Liaison

With confirmation from the family, we liaise and negotiate with schools to ensure that there is a bilateral understanding between all parties.

School Assessments

Interviews and entrance examinations form an integral and central part of the school admissions process. We are able to administer interviews and entrance examinations at our Hong Kong office. If your child wishes to sit the Common Entrance Examinations or UKiset, we can register for your child to sit the examinations at Hong Kong British Council.

Documentation

We organise reports from the previous school to accompany the child’s application and send all the registration documents to the recommended schools. We manage any offer letters and ensure that the correct documentation is in place and kept current. When a child is offered a place, we assist with the acceptance documentation and any visa work if required.
